Pricing
At Regal Electrical, we believe pricing should be simple, transparent, and fair so you always know exactly what you’re paying for.
Minimum Charge
We take on all work, no matter how small, but we also need to cover the overheads and operational costs involved in running a professional, fully insured electrical service. To ensure every job receives the same level of care and attention, we apply a minimum charge of £70, which covers, administration, travel and the first hour of labour. This allows us to deliver a consistent, high‑quality service on every visit.
Why We Don’t Offer Day Rates
We choose not to work on day rates because they rarely provide clarity or trust for the customer. Instead, we offer fixed pricing for the majority of our work. This approach gives you:
- A clear, upfront cost
- No open‑ended labour charges
- No uncertainty
- A simple, transparent price you can rely on
Additional Work Policy
To keep our pricing transparent and ensure every job is completed to a high standard, we do not carry out any unquoted “whilst you’re here” work. Any additional tasks not included in the original agreed quotation will need to be booked separately. If time allows, we may be able to complete the extra work on the same visit once a revised quote has been provided and accepted. This approach ensures clarity, avoids unexpected costs, and maintains the quality and safety of our service.
What’s Included in Our Fixed Prices
All fixed‑price work includes:
- Labour
- High‑quality branded materials
- Testing
- Certification where required
We only use components that meet or exceed UK safety standards. Materials are charged at trade rates with a small handling fee to cover sourcing and collection. When we supply materials, we arrive with the correct items ready to install. Customer‑supplied products often cause delays due to missing parts, incorrect fittings, or poor quality. For these reasons, we generally do not install customer‑supplied materials. Exceptions may be made for certain decorative items, such as light fittings or fixtures, provided they are safe, compatible, and meet UK standards. These will be assessed on a case‑by‑case basis.
Clear Quotes Every Time
Before any work begins, we provide a detailed written quote so you know exactly what you’re getting. If the scope of work changes after the quote is accepted, we will always discuss this with you first and provide an updated price before carrying out any additional work. At Regal Electrical, there are no hidden extras and no unexpected add‑ons.
